Story
Before Castlevania
Actrise was a stage actress who wished for eternal beauty and fame. To this end, she sold her soul and sacrifed her own daughter in order achieve immortality but lost her humanity as a result; as the years passed, her sanity was affected as well. She would eventually join the Dark Lord Dracula and would praise him every year by slaying one hundred childeren in his honour.
Events of Legacy of Darkness
In 1844, she along with Gilles de Rais and Death plotted to revive their Lord once again. They managed to do this by spilling the blood of a young maiden over their Lord's remains. This time, the man-beast Cornell stood up against Dracula who was lured to the vampire's castle because his sister Ada was captured and brought there.
She along with Gilles de Rais encountered the man-beast within the dark depths of an underground passageway. Cornell proved to be a worthy opponent and was able to bring Gilles de Rais to his knees. Actrise then made her entrance and the two vampires agreed that Cornell would put up an excellent fight against their Master. They then vanished, and awaited the next part of their plan.
Her Master was eventually defeated by the man-beast and the Vampire Lord tried to drag Cornell's sister with him as a last act of revenge. The man-beast harnessed all his strength, and sacrificed the spirit of his wolf form in order to smash the crystal and save his sister therein, the wolf's spirit was effectively substituted as her replacement. Actrise was pleased as this was part of a greater scheme that could finally allow Dracula to triump over mankind.
She along with her comrades gathered in Dracula's Throne Room where they witnessed the captured essense of Cornell's wolf form. Death then started an incantation in which he used the wolf form to give the soul of his Lord a new body. The ritual was a successes and Actrise eagerly waited until her Master had come of age and would claim the title of Lord of Darkness once again.
Events of Castlevania 64
Eight years later, Actrise sensed a strong magical presence which belonged to a heir of the Belnades Clan. She would encounter this girl, Carrie Fernandez, in the Underground Waterway where she commented on the almost terrifying power that she radiated. She introduced herself after Carrie had asked who she was and then revealed her plan. She then offered the little girl a place among her side, as her power would be of great use to forces of darkness. Actrise then commented that she would give Carrie some time to think it over but warned her to choose carefully before disappearing.
They would meet again at the Castle Center and Carrie made it clear that she refused Actrise's offer. To punish the girl for her refusal, Actrise presented to Carrie her cousin who had been affected with the curse of the vampires. She explained that Carrie's cousin had also attempted to battle her Lord, but his forces had managed to capture her alive and she was sired. Actrise ordered the vampire to attack her cousin, believing that this would result in the defeat of the Belnades warrior.
Actrise was suprised to encounter the determined girl at the Room of Clocks. There she made her offer one final time, saying that it was a simple matter; sacrificing the lives of one hundred children was all what it took. She told Carrie about how she had given up her child for eternal beauty. Carrie refused once again and explained that, although she was adopted, her mother had given her life to save her own, showing that she had really loved her. She declared that given up the lives of loved ones for personal gain was pitful. Actrise then sarcastically responded that Carrie made her sad. She loved no other then herself and was not bothered by familly ties. The witch then attacked after declaring that she would Carrie's heart as a sacrife for Lord Dracula.
Actrise's efforts eventually proved to be inadequate, and before she died, she pondered how she could have taken Carrie so lightly.
